O’Connell and Aronowitz Named a 2025 Top Workplace by the Times Union in Its 100th Year

We are proud to announce that O’Connell and Aronowitz has been named a 2025 Top Workplace by the Times Union, marking our sixth consecutive year and eleventh overall on this prestigious list.

This year’s recognition holds special meaning as it comes during our 100th anniversary — a century of serving clients, supporting our community, and building a workplace culture centered on respect, collaboration, and shared success.

Recognition Rooted in Employee Feedback

The Times Union’s Top Workplaces designation is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey conducted by Energage, LLC. The anonymous survey measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection. This year, 51 of our 63 employees participated — a powerful testament to the level of engagement within our team.

“Being named a Top Workplace is always an honor,” said Michael McDermott, President of O’Connell and Aronowitz. “But knowing this recognition is based on our employees’ honest feedback makes it especially meaningful. Our team is the foundation of everything we’ve achieved over the past 100 years.”

A Legacy Built by People

Founded in 1925 with just two attorneys, O’Connell and Aronowitz has grown into one of the Capital Region’s largest and most respected full-service law firms. With offices in Albany and Saratoga Springs, we proudly serve clients across a wide range of legal areas — from Health Care and Personal Injury to Criminal Defense and Business Law.

Throughout our growth, one thing has remained constant: our commitment to cultivating a workplace where professionals can thrive. This award affirms that our values — integrity, teamwork, and excellence — continue to guide us forward.

Looking Ahead

As we celebrate this milestone year, we’re grateful for the people who made it possible: our dedicated attorneys, talented staff, and trusted clients. Together, we’ve built more than a firm — we’ve built a community.

We thank the Times Union for this continued recognition and, most importantly, we thank every member of our team for making O’Connell and Aronowitz a Top Workplace — not just in 2025, but every day.
