For over 100 years, O’Connell and Aronowitz has stood as a cornerstone of the Capital Region’s legal and civic landscape. Founded in 1925 by Edward J. O’Connell and Samuel E. Aronowitz, the firm began as a modest two-partner office in downtown Albany and has grown into one of the area’s most trusted full-service law firms.
From the beginning, our founders brought a blend of legal excellence and public service. “Mr. Sam” Aronowitz was a champion for veterans, an advocate for community banking, and a civic leader; Edward O’Connell combined his legal work with significant political contributions that shaped Albany’s history.
